結他維修隨筆：【 PRS Refret：不鏽鋼升級與 Fret End 處理 】

最近幫 PRS 做 Refret。客人要求將原本嘅 Nickel Silver Fret 改做不鏽鋼 (Stainless Steel)。

Refret 其實有幾種唔同嘅做法，而今次呢個做法比較講究——

我係先修好晒每支 Fret 嘅外型、長度同 Fret End 弧度，搞掂晒先至正式打上指板。

PRS 原廠嘅 Fret End 都有自己嘅弧度。

今次跟返原本嘅 Fret End 形狀去修，確保安裝後 Fret End 完全唔會喺指板邊緣凸出嚟，摸落去順手唔割手，亦保留到原廠嘅視覺同手感。

呢張相近距離睇兩個 Fret End 嘅正面修邊。之後會再出 post 睇埋側邊邊緣同成支琴嘅完成狀況。

【Service Log: PRS Refret - Stainless Steel Upgrade & Fret End Profiling】

Working on a full refret for this PRS. The owner requested to upgrade from the original nickel silver frets to stainless steel.

There are a few different ways to approach a refret, and this method is particularly meticulous: I fully shaped, bevelled, and pre-cut each fret to precise length before installing them onto the fretboard.

PRS has a specific way they detail their fret ends. For this job, I pre-profiled each fret end to mimic that original bevel so there's zero overhang on the fretboard edge, keeping the neck smooth and close to the factory feel.

Here is a close-up of two completed fret ends from the front. Will share the side profile shots and the finished guitar in the next posts.
